Visit to Bahey's

Ella and I just visited Bahey in sunny Southern California. When Ella was about 18 months old, we tried to teach her to call my Grammy "Grammy". It came out "Bahey" and stuck. Along with all the other names for grandparents that she has decided on her own. Because Bahey lives in California, we try to visit her at least once a year. Ryan stayed home this time, so it was just the three girls. We really enjoyed the rest and relaxation. We had a blast!

Our first full day in Thousand Oaks, Ca we visited the fabulous Oaks Mall. First stop at the mall was the indoor "zoo" for little kiddos. Ella was able to ride lions and elephants, even an alligator. They had a beautiful tree with a tunnel through the trunck. She made a friend immediately and played for some time. Then we were off to Build A Bear. We're quite a bit behind the curve, I suppose, as it was mine and Ella's first trip to this super store. Bahey is a seasoned pro, and made the excellent suggestion. What a great idea. Ella built a Hello Kitty "bear", fit with a belted shirt, leggins, hot pink sandals, a sequinced purse and her own sparkling pink cell phone.

The next day we visited two parks then Ben & Jerry's Ice cream. Ella was able to swing, slide and play in the sand. All followed up with a Chocolate cone. What a life!

Our last full day was done in true Cali style...lunch on the beach. Bahey has lived in California since I was a little girl. Its always been our tradition to lunch on the beach at least one day of the visit. We tried a new restaurant in Malibu, Paradise Cove. It was great. The best part was the private beach just outside the restaurant itself. We enjoyed great food and then a great time in the sand. The whole trip was great. The best part was all the time we were able to spend visiting with Bahey. It makes me so happy to share my Grammy with my baby girl. I am so very blessed.
