I Wanna Be Like You

It is so amazing to watch your child grow up. How much they want to learn and do. How much they want to be just like you. Ella has wanted to help with laundry since she could walk. One day I will gladly pass on the chore. She loves to do the dishes. A sinkful of water and some dirty dishes, and I have a good 20 minutes to myself. Its always a win win, clean dishes and a happy child! Its definately worth the water on the floor. Ella is definately a girl. She loves dress up, and make up, cooking and babies. Ryan was just commenting the other day, that he is really looking forward to having a boy so that he can see what its like to have a son want to be like him. He got a bit choked up talking about it. (I love his sensitive side!) This morning I was sorting photos and I couldn't help but notice a few of his daughter, wanting to be just like her daddy. And some just hanging out with her favorite guy. She may be a girl, but she's a daddy's girl.

Gage's Room

After 4 weeks of waiting, Gage's crib bedding finally arrived today. So now we can match paint colors and get started on the nursery. Maybe the nursery painting and growing baby bump will start having an effect on my mind. Because, I still cannot believe I will have another child in less than 3 months.

So the nursery is going to be blue, brown and green. We are going to decorate with monkey art and polka dots. The blue is more aqua blue than shown here. Just wanted to share the decorating excitement.
